Who we are

Calmer Dog (calmerdog.co.uk) is run by Krishan, trading as KJLabs (sole trader, Italy). As the data controller, we are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us at hello@calmerdog.co.uk.

UK representative: because we are based outside the UK, we are confirming whether we need to appoint a representative under UK GDPR. If we do, their details will appear here. Until then, please contact us directly at the address above.

If you send an enquiry

What we collect: your name, email address, postcode or area, the problem you choose and any details you type.

Why: to pass your enquiry to the one professional you choose, or to one suitable professional if you ask us to help you choose. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and confirming your email address. You can withdraw consent at any time before you confirm by ignoring the confirmation email.

Who receives it: only that one professional. You're copied in. We don't sell your data, share it with anyone else or use it for marketing.

How long we keep it: until you confirm, your enquiry exists only inside the encrypted link in your confirmation email. We don't store it in a database. After you confirm, we keep only a record without personal details (the date, the professional and the type of problem). Our email provider keeps delivery logs of the emails we send for a limited period, and we don't keep enquiry details for more than 90 days. Once the professional receives your enquiry, they become responsible for how they use it.

If you apply to be listed

What we collect: what you give us on our Join form: your name, business name, email, phone (optional), website, ABTC role and register link, the cities, areas and services you cover, and your short description.

Why: to check your entry on the ABTC register, publish your listing, and forward enquiries from dog owners to you. Listings are opt-in only. We never list anyone who hasn't applied. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give on the Join form. You can withdraw it at any time.

What's public: your listing shows your name, business name, ABTC role, register link, cities, areas, services, description, and the website, phone and email you've chosen to show.

How long we keep it: for as long as you're listed. If you ask us to remove your listing, or we can't verify your application, we delete your details within 90 days, except anything we must keep by law. You can ask us to change or remove your listing at any time using our removal form.

If you send a removal or correction request

We use your name, email and message only to deal with your request, and delete them once it's resolved.

Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Service providers

• Resend (sending emails)

Some providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK and EU data protection law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@calmerdog.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
